   जापान और तुर्की , यही दो देश है जो नीतिगत मामलो में काफी लचीला रूख रखते है। कमाल अतातुर्क ने लगभग अकेली और पंद्रह सालों के छोटे समय के अंतराल में ही तुर्की को पश्चिमी खेमे में ला दिया था। अब एरडोगन ने सिर्फ 5 साल में इसे पूरब की ओर मोड़ दिया है। ये हालिया बदलाव इस तेजी से हुए हैं कि नाटो संगठन के साथ अपने औपचारिक संबंधों के बावजूद हम तुर्की को अब एक पश्चिमी सहयोगी नहीं मान सकते। हालांकि ये निश्चिति तौर पर एक शत्रु भी नहीं है हम उसे रूस , चीन और सऊदी अरब की उस मध्यवर्ती कतार में डाल सकते हैं जो कभी प्रतिद्वन्दी बन जाते हैं पर यदि ऐसा ही चलता रहा तो वह दिन दूर नहीं जब हमे हमे धमकाने भी लगे।
