The diet of the dull-mantled antbird is composed of insects and other arthropods; recorded prey items are spiders ( Araneae ), cockroaches ( Blattaria ), beetles ( Coleoptera ), crickets ( Gryllidae ), woodlice ( Oniscidea ) and indeterminate insect larvae.
